Plugs-out test[ edit ] Chaffee, White, and Grissom training in a simulator of their Command Module cabin, January 19, The launch simulation on January 27,on pad 34, was a "plugs-out" test to determine whether the spacecraft would operate nominally on simulated internal power while detached from all cables and umbilicals. Passing this test was essential to making the February 21 launch date. The test was considered non-hazardous because neither the launch vehicle nor the spacecraft was loaded with fuel or cryogenicsand all pyrotechnic systems explosive bolts were disabled. Grissom immediately noticed a strange odor in the air circulating through his suit which he compared to "sour buttermilk", and the simulated countdown was held at 1:

Many industry personnel regularly visit the College to deliver expert lecture. But in reality it is entirely different from that and you will be learning whole lot of electrical engineering techniques and related stuff in this course.

During first year of first year of engineering the electrical engineering students, learn about common engineering courses like engineering mathematics, physics, engineering drawing and fundamentals of computing from second year, they will start learning about thermodynamics introductory electronics, signal processing and instrumentationelectric networksmicro electronics, control system, communication system, power system, electromagnetic system, electrical machines and power generation techniques.

By the end of final year, students can be well equipped with the understanding of working and application of electrical system and engineering. They equally have good opportunities for jobs in electrical engineering industry and higher education.

There is lot of multi disciplinary research for developing electric vehicles with great funding and scope all over the world. On the same time good opportunities back home in industries.

Core companies offering electrical engineering jobs: ABB, Bajaj international pvt. Bharat heavy electrical ltd.

This makes the student learn how to apply the electronic devices for conversion, control and conditioning of electronic power. To expose the students to the principle of control engineering with specialized equipments - Servo motor, Synchros and stepper motor.

To enhance the practical knowledge in simulation of first and second order systems. Stepper motor is used in real time system and it can be used in projects. PID controller is used by students in their projects. Measurements and Instrumentation Lab: The aim of this lab is to fortify the students with an adequate work experience in the measurement of different quantities and also expertise in handling the instruments involved.

Its objective is to train the students in the measurement of displacement, resistance, inductance, torque and angle etc. The main aim of this laboratory helps the Electrical students to acquire software developments skills and Experience in the usage of standard packages necessary for analysis and simulation of power system required for its planning, operation and control.

In this laboratory we are using Software simulation package to meet the requirements of the "Power System Simulation Lab" for the final year EEE students.

V Dept of Mechanical Engineering Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest and also referred to as the 'mother' branch of engineering. Another appealing feature of mechanical engineering is that the application base of this field of study.

Traditionally, Mechanical Engineers have to deal with concepts such as mechanics, thermodynamics, robotics, kinematics, structural analysis, fluid mechanics and many others. Nowadays the scope of mechanical engineering is expanding beyond its traditional boundaries.

Mechanical Engineers are focusing their attention towards new areas of research such as nanotechnology, development of composite materials, biomedical applications, environmental conservation, etc.

The ever increasing scope of this particular job profile now requires professionals to get into financial and marketing aspects of product development and even into people and resource management. All in all Mechanical Engineering offers a wide bouquet of job options to students who are looking for a stable and stimulating career.

Some facts about us

Mechanical engineers are required to design, test, manufacture, install, operate and maintain a wide array of machines and mechanical systems that are used in countless industries. These professionals can find employment both in the government and private sector undertakings. Major industries that employ Mechanical Engineers include automobiles, space research, aeronautical, energy and utilities, air conditioning, bio-mechanical industry. The area’s otherworldly geography stood in for the “magnificent desolation” of the moon’s surface: The three Apollo 11 astronauts — Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins.

Apollo-Ridge Middle School is a public school and is located in Spring Church, PA. Apollo 11 Mission The Apollo 11 mission was the first man mission to land on the Moon. The Apollo 11 team left Kennedy Space Center on July 16, at UTC.

The mission’s team included Commander Neil Alden Armstrong, Commander Module Pilot Michael Collins and Lunar Module Pilot Edwin Eugene “Buzz” Aldrin Jr. School-Based Decision Making Councils meet throughout the year to establish school policies and make decisions to support student achievement.

In , Aldrin's hometown middle school in Montclair, New Jersey was renamed the Buzz Aldrin Middle School. The Aldrin crater on the Moon near the Apollo 11 landing site and Asteroid Aldrin are named in his honor.
